Today he called me in his office to tell me "EVERYONE" had a problem with me. One of them was the housekeeping inspector. She had called me before her day off freaking out because the HSK exec was sick with CD and couldn't come in, and she didn't wanna have to come in. I told her not to worry about it. Instead of a THANK YOU for me coming in on MY off day to do a job I'm not trained for just so SHE could go to a ball, she went and complained about my "attitude". happened a month ago. It was basically a sh t fest. Meanwhile, I had to pick up the pieces of the GM's random tantrums. There's a company staying at our competing hotel, and he's been pouting about it, wondering why they aren't staying at his. Nevermind the fact that he completely lost his mind on one of the employees and actually told him he wasn't allowed back. This is the st I had to work with.

Wolf-Pack85 9h ago I left my GM position after 10 years for similar attitudes. I worked 6 days a week. Did everything for everyone. Made a sh t hotel successful. I quit in Oct, and went into property management. Huge pay cut, but I couldn't be happier. 413 Reply ↑ Share
